I'll never forget my introduction to Tilly & the Wall, and I'm willing to bet whoever was with me that night won't be able to either. Few bands exist that have the talent of removing bodily inhibitions quite like them. I became the guy standing too close to you, dancing in a way that can only be compared to the way Pheobe runs. Without further ado, I present my first obsession of 2008: Beat Control.

Really? I will admit it's quite catchy, but so not tilly and the wall sounding... ok, the more i hear it the more i like it.
one more thing i gotta say:

awesome website- bands just walk in and play 4 songs, given away for free. there is an encore in the archives as well, cuz they went back and played again. the doveman recording is worthy of its own post as well. check it out
I had the same "this is tilly & the wall?" reaction. And I'm not even much of a fan of the video, but damn if that song doesn't make me dance. I also forgot to mention they're playing at the Grog Shop Monday, March 24th, which happens to be the same place I saw them the first time
